Start chatting with anyone in your organization

On any device, including desktop, securely send a message to anyone in the organization by simply searching for their name. Zinc chats have all the capabilities you'd expect in a consumer messaging app, but with the controls and security necessary for the enterprise. From the bottom of the messaging screen, you can type a message, take a picture, send a picture from your library, attach a document, dictate a message, share your location, and of course, send a thumbs up. Read receipts show when your message has been delivered and seen, complete with timestamps.


Keep conversations organized with group messages

Zinc group messages facilitate communications among three or more individuals. Zinc makes this easy with two types of groups: Ad hoc and Official. Ad hoc groups can be created by any user at any time, whereas Official Groups are generated by company administrators and can be automatically synced with existing groups in Microsoft's Active Directory.

Zinc groups organize communication around specific topics and action items. Create groups for teams, departments, regions, products, events, training, and more. Some groups like "Field Service Troubleshooting" will have many members, while other groups, like "Holiday Party Committee" many only have a few. With the ability to manage group membership and ensure only the employees who should be members of a specific group are, you effectively reduce information overload and drive immediate response times.


Share content to without needing to leave the app

Different options for team messaging are needed to efficiently convey information. Perhaps it’s sharing your exact location to find a team member who has a part you need or sending a picture of the job site to convey exactly what is happening. Zinc's various modes and integrations with your camera, photo library, GPS, cloud storage services like Dropbox, Google Drive and Box, and workflow apps such as Salesforce provide multiple ways to solve the task at hand, directly from your phone or mobile device.


Go hands-free by listening to incoming messages

Sometimes it's difficult to access the phone when finishing an install or driving to the next customer site. With Zinc’s “Hands Free” feature, stay constantly connected while driving safely or working through a troubleshooting call. Or simply stay available to a customer in front of you. Once turned on, incoming messages are read out aloud and any responses are recorded and sent back to the recipient as a voice response. Get caught up on all messages after a full day of work by turning on the “Catch up” feature, which enables all unread messages to be read aloud.

Need to communicate with someone who is not part of the organization? No problem. Zinc easily adds external people such as contractors or seasonal workers to conversations and messages using an email address. Most importantly, these individuals don’t need to be added to the organization, thereby restricting access to sensitive data or contact information.
